We’re seeking staff for the 2026 Area 6 Championship.

The match is scheduled for September 9 – 13, 2026 at CMP Talladega Marksmanship Park in Talladega, AL.

Like any USPSA match, we rely on the hard work and dedication of volunteers to make the Area 6 Championship a reality.

This will be a competitor reset match.

Below is a rough schedule of what the setup and match schedule will look like:
Sat 9/05 – Setup
Sun 9/06 – Setup
Mon 9/07 – Setup
Tue 9/08 – Final Tweaks, RM Walk Thru
Wed 9/09 – Staff safety certification, staff meeting,
staff match (6 stages), staff dinner
Thu 9/10 – Staff match (8 stages)
Fri 9/11 – Match (7 all day; 7 split AM/PM)
Sat 9/12 – Match (AM + PM)
Sun 9/13 – Match AM

Chief Range Officer

Requires USPSA CRO certification
Ensure parity of stage throughout match
Run shooters, direct staff on stage and coach RO’s as required
Receives all the benefits of the Match Staff Package listed below
Must be available 0800 Wed. Sep 9 – Sun. Sep 13
$650 total that includes: 1/2 room rate, meal per-diem, and mileage if over 100 miles
If carpooling or team travelling mileage is authorized only for the driver

Maintain integrity of stage throughout match
Run shooters, tablet/timer, assist stage as needed
Receives all the benefits of the Match Staff Package listed below
Must be available 0700 Fri. Sep 11 – Sun. Sep 13 (1200 Wed if shooting staff match)
$560 total that includes: 1/2 room rate, meal per-diem, and mileage if over 100 miles
If carpooling or team travelling mileage is authorized only for the driver

General help in a variety of roles to keep the match, running efficiently
Help on the bays scoring
Help keep stages stocked with supplies
Run shooter shuttles on the range
No certification required
Ideally, a travel companion or local resident
Must be available 0800 Fri. Sep 11 – Sun. Sep 13 (1200 Wed if shooting staff match)
$270 that includes: 1/2 room rate and meal per-diem
