We’re seeking staff for the 2025 Area 6 Championship.
The match is scheduled for October 1 – 5, 2025 at CMP Talladega Marksmanship Park in Talladega, AL.
Like any USPSA match, we rely on the hard work and dedication of volunteers to make the Area 6 Championship a reality.
Continuing the practice from previous years, this will be a staff reset match. You will be working as part of a team on your stage, but together you will be on your feet scoring, pasting, or reseting for every shooter on the stage. It’s not strenuous work, but it does make for long days.
Below is a rough schedule of what the setup and match schedule will look like:
Sat 9/27 – Setup
Sun 9/28 – Setup
Mon 9/29 – Setup
Tue 9/30 – Final Tweaks, RM Walk Thru
Wed 10/1 – Staff safety certification, staff meeting,
staff match (4-5 stages), staff dinner
Thu 10/2 – Staff match (7-8 stages)
Fri 10/3 – Match (all day)
Sat 10/4 – Match (AM + PM)
Sun 10/5 – Match AM
Where We Need Your Help
Chief Range Officer
- Requires USPSA CRO certification
- Ensure parity of stage throughout match
- Run shooters, paste targets, reset & paint steel
- Direct staff on stage and coach RO’s as required
- Receives all the benefits of the Match Staff Package listed below
- Must be available Wed. Oct. 1 – Sun. Oct. 5
Range Officer
- Requires USPSA RO certification
- Maintain integrity of stage throughout match
- Run shooters, paste targets, reset & paint steel
- Receives all the benefits of the Match Staff Package listed below
- Must be available Wed. Oct. 1 – Sun. Oct. 5
Staff
- Looking for staff to help in a variety of roles to keep the match, running efficiently
- Help on the bays scoring and resetting the stage
- Help keep stages stocked with supplies
- Run shooter shuttles on the range
- No certification required
- Receives all the benefits of the Match Staff Package listed below
- Must be available Wed. Oct. 1 – Sun. Oct. 5
Setup
- Help get the match on the ground
- Stage construction and debugging
- Setup staff will get $75/per day
- Setup days are Sat. 9/27, Sun. 9/28, Mon. 9/29
